The finest range of Mazafati dates is from the city of Bam, Kerman province with the largest area under harvest in the country. But Mazafati is harvested in other regions as well such as Jiroft (Kerman province), HaajiAabad (Hormozgan province), Iranshahr (Sistan & Baluchestan province). Mazafati is a popular type for export.
Mazafati is consumed fresh and usually has sap. It should be kept within -5 to 5◦C as it would go bad otherwise.
