Mazafati Dates (Mozafati Dates)
Mazafati or Mozafati dates are the most common type of Iranian dates that is also known to be consumed as Rutb.

The finest range of Mazafati dates is from the city of Bam, Kerman province with the largest area under harvest in the country. But Mazafati is harvested in other regions as well such as Jiroft (Kerman province), HaajiAabad (Hormozgan province), Iranshahr (Sistan & Baluchestan province). Mazafati is a popular type for export.
Mazafati is consumed fresh and usually has sap. It should be kept within -5 to 5◦C as it would go bad otherwise.
Mazafati date has a very thin, silky and black skin that can be peeled easily. Mazafati dates are relatively high in fiber and potassium.
